The Delaware legislature has passed HS 1 of HB 302, becoming just the 8^th state to take action to enhance coverage of prostate cancer screenings for high-risk men. The bill would eliminate cost-sharing for these lifesaving screenings, thus reducing barriers and increasing access to prostate cancer screenings for men over 40 who meet certain risk factors. The legislation awaits Governor Carney’s consideration. Advocates with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) and ZERO Prostate Cancer are urging the governor to deliver a win to men across Delaware and sign the bill as soon as possible.

DOVER, DE, April 17, 2019 – Governor Carney today enacted a law that will prohibit the sale of tobacco products to those younger than 21.

DOVER, DE - March 19, 2019- The Delaware State Senate today passed legislation (SB25) that would prohibit the sale of tobacco products to those younger than 21.

DOVER, DE – March 5, 2019 – Governor Carney today announced his support for legislation (Senate Bill No. 25) that would raise the age of for sale of tobacco products to 21 from the current age of 18.

DOVER, DE –Jan. 17, 2019 – Earlier today, during his State of State Address, Governor John Carney announced his support for enacting a law that would prohibit the sale of tobacco products to those younger than 21. Currently tobacco products can be sold to people as young as 18.
