Thirty-five patient and provider groups sent a letter to members of Congress this week expressing support for the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer Screening Act (H.R. 1570, S. 668). The legislation would eliminate cost sharing for seniors on Medicare who are hit with a surprise bill during a routine screening colonoscopy when a polyp is discovered and removed during the procedure.
