Leadership Summit and Lobby Day > Pre-Event Trainings

 

In preparation for LS&LD, we ask that all participants complete two pre-event trainings: 

  • “Welcome to the 2021 Leadership Summit & Lobby Day” – This initial welcome training provides an overview of the platforms you’ll use throughout LS&LD and the full event timeline. We ask that you complete by August 27th.

  • "The Ask & Hook, Sinker, Line, Sinker" – This training will be available in early September and will cover the Lobby Day Ask and how to make the most of virtual lawmaker meetings. We request that you complete this training by September 17th.

Volunteer participants, you will receive an email from Lizzy Salinas when it’s time to access each training that will ask you to 1) log into the Volunteer Community, and 2) click the “My Volunteering” tab at the top of the home page. Each training will appear under “My Training and Requirements” as it becomes available.  

Note: If you have not previously used the Volunteer Community, you will need to create an account. (Please use the same email address and name you used to register for LS&LD.) If you have an existing account but can’t remember your password, you can follow the prompts to reset.
 
The first training will be assigned about a week after you complete registration for the event, and the second one will be assigned in September. Lizzy Salinas will send an email reminder letting you know when each of these trainings is available to you.

Staff participants, you will receive an email with a link to access these trainings in Society Pathways. You can also find them by navigating to the ACS CAN section of the Society Pathways library.
