ACS CAN members attend town hall call recapping outcome of 2018 election

November 16, 2018

“Healthcare was the number one issue of the night. On the exit polls, 41% said healthcare was the important issue [in this election],” said Bill McInturff, a nationally renowned pollster and expert on political public opinion.

Bill spoke last week on ACS CAN’s members-only town hall call that broke down the election results and discussed how the results will affect health care and cancer issues around the country.

Bill was joined on the call by ACS CAN volunteers and staff members who talked about Cancer Votes, ACS CAN’s electoral program, and recapped the outcome of key state ballot initiatives that advanced the fight against cancer, and the important role that ACS CAN members played in making all of this happen.

“As a community of people who’ve come together from every congressional district, every state in the country to be a part of the national fight against cancer, ACS CAN members are what make us a force to be reckoned with on Capitol Hill and in state legislatures around the country,” said Erin O’Neill, ACS CAN’s Vice President for Volunteer Engagement & Grassroots Strategies.

Members-only calls are just one of numerous perks ACS CAN members can take advantage of.  Other benefits include a window cling, an advocacy toolkit and the opportunity to meet other members at members-only events in your state.

By becoming an ACS CAN member, you become a part of a movement to end cancer by supporting advocacy that fights for cancer patients, survivors and their families.
