When policymakers join ACS CAN in leading the fight against cancer, you make time for people to enjoy big milestones and small moments.

End cancer as we know it, for everyone.

A dedication to research, proven prevention and early detection has helped avert over 4 million cancer deaths since 1991. However, with more than 611,720 cancer deaths and more than 2 million diagnoses expected this year, there is still more work to be done to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. And that is where Congress comes in. By prioritizing the fight against cancer, policymakers can help reduce the cancer burden, ensuring that the cancer of today is not the cancer of tomorrow.

“For the first time, this year more than 2 million people will hear the words ‘you have cancer.’ Congress needs to meet this pivotal moment and ensure lifesaving treatments and advancements continue for those diagnosed with this disease by building on our nation’s fiscal commitment to the fight against cancer.”
– Lisa Lacasse, President of ACS CAN
