Cancer can be costly. Krin is a cancer patient receiving copay assistance to help with the cost of her medication. However, her insurance company doesn’t count this toward her deductible and out-of-pocket maximum. This is a problem that Missouri patients also face. It’s called copay accumulator adjustment, and Missouri lawmakers must pass legislation to stop this practice.
