Childhood Cancer Research and Funding

February 1, 2024

Cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death among children and adolescents. Although cancer in children is much rarer than in adults, the effects can be worse since it occurs so early in life, and the late effects from the disease and treatments can last a lifetime. ACS CAN has been involved in a number of significant successes for childhood cancer appropriations including The Childhood Cancer Survivorship, Treatment, Access, and Research (STAR) Act and Childhood Cancer Data Initiative (CCDI).
