Even if you aren’t coming to Washington, D.C. this year for Lobby Day, there are still ways for you to get involved from your home.
1. Take Action
Send a message to your members of Congress in support of this year’s Lobby Day asks. Your message can help amplify the asks that volunteers are making in-person.
2. Tweet at your lawmakers
We know members of Congress keep a close eye on Twitter. Tweeting at your lawmakers is a great way to make sure they get the message loud and clear that we need them to increase funding for cancer research. We have everything you need to do this effectively in this tips sheet.
3. Follow along with #CancerLobbyDay
Keep up with #CancerLobbyDay and #LightsOfHope on social media! Your fellow volunteers are posting to Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and more during this event. By retweeting, sharing and commenting, you can help amplify our cancer-fighting message. You can also tune in to the social media wall to keep up with live updates.
