New Palliative Care Brochure for Childhood Cancer

September 12, 2014

In honor of September being Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, ACS CAN and the American Cancer Society released a new brochure that talks about palliative care options for childhood cancer patients.

The brochure details what pediatric palliative care is; how it can improve the quality of life for even the youngest cancer patients and their families; and how they can get access to palliative care services. This new piece also provides details on where more in-depth information on pediatric palliative care can be found.

Check out the new brochure.

ACS CAN is working to improve access to palliative for all adults and children with cancer and other serious illnesses by supporting proposals to fund research and training that will help boost delivery of quality palliative care services in all care settings, while also increasing the number of specialized palliative care-trained doctors, nurses, and other health professionals.
