Members of Congress voice support for Multi-Cancer Early Detection Tests
On September 19th, members of Congress held a hearing to discuss increasing seniors’ access to innovative medical care. Dozens of ACS CAN volunteers joined the hearing as a show of support for the Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) Act.
The hearing, hosted by the U.S. House Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, discussed several bills currently up for consideration, including the MCED Act, which would create a pathway for Medicare to cover innovative, groundbreaking tests that can screen for dozens of cancers at the same time, once FDA-approved and shown to have clinical benefit.
Join ACS CAN volunteers from across the country urging Congress to pass this bill by signing the petition today!
