"Also in attendance was Adam Clemens from Glastonbury, who became an ACS CAN advocate over a decade ago in honor of his mother, who he lost to breast cancer. Clemens met with Connecticut's Congressional delegation to ask for support in three key areas in the cancer fight.
ACS CAN's National Lobby Day on the Hill
On Septmeber 12, 2017 ACS CAN Lead Ambassadors were in Washington, DC to urge Congresswoman Holmes-Norton to assist us with three key issues:
1. Increase Cancer Research Funding for prevention, early detection and treatment.
2. Pass the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act
3. Remove the barriers for colorectal cancer screening for Medicare Patients.
