Utah Day at the Capitol

Join us on February 21 for ACS CAN Utah Day at the Capitol.  Whether you are a seasoned advocate or have never engaged with ACS CAN before, this day is an incredible opportunity to make your voice heard and make sure cancer is a top priority for Utah legislators. We hope you can be there to ensure our voices are heard loud and clear!

There will be two pre-event training opportunities. All attendees should plan to join us for at least one of these or listen to a recorded training provided to you via email. We strongly encourage first time attendees to attend the in-person training on the evening of February 20. Dinner will be provided. You will be asked to select a training opportunity when you register. Both trainings will prepare you for your Day at the Capitol experience and will include: 

• An overview of our event activities.
• Review of the "ASKS" we will be making of our legislators.
• A review of the process of meeting with your legislators that day. 
• The opportunity to ask any questions you might have

For the first time we will be asking all attendees to wear an ACS CAN royal blue polo shirt.  This will be provided to you at no cost this year.  We have both men’s and women’s shirt sizes. You will be asked to choose your shirt size when you register.

Full event details, materials and logistical information will be emailed to registered participants closer to the event. This is a free event with breakfast provided. We will begin the morning with an overview of our priority issues and then attendees will break into small groups to prepare to meet with legislators.
