Lights of Hope at the Capitol

Monday, September 27, 2021 - 5:00pm
Wisconsin State Capitol - State Street Steps

Join us for Lights of Hope at the Capitol on Monday, September 27 from 5:00PM-8:00PM!

Each Light of Hope honors loved ones who have survived cancer and remembers those we've lost. Purchase Lights of Hope to be displayed at the Capitol in honor or in memory of your loved ones.

Our Lights of Hope display sends an impactful message to lawmakers that fighting cancer must be a national priority - from increasing funding for lifesaving cancer research to ensuring all Americans in every community have access to quality, affordable cancer care. This year will be truly special as we celebrate ACS CAN's 20th Anniversary.

The Lights of Hope display will be open to the public from 5:00-8:00PM, with a short program beginning at 6:30PM featuring Dr. Christian Capitini. Dr. Christian Capitini is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He is presently the Director of Clinical Innovation for the UW Forward BIO Institute. He is an American Cancer Society Research Scholar and a Young Investigator on a Pediatric Cancer Dream Team sponsored by the St. Baldrick’s Foundation and Stand up to Cancer.
