Level Up: Civic Engagement 101 Workshop for Teens

Saturday, November 9, 2019 - 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Anchorage Public Library (Z. J. Loussac Library)
3600 Denali Street
Anchorage, AK 99503

This workshop for teens, ages 14-18, will teach you how to more effectively talk about local, statewide, and national issues you care about.

We will be covering how you can find information about elected officials, how you can talk to decision makers about issue important to you, and how to find people to help you make positive changes in your community.

We welcome anyone who is passionate about civic engagement, those who just want to learn a little bit more about how to have a voice in the community, and anyone in between. This workshop is geared toward teens. If you'd be interested in one of our general workshops for all ages, check out www.fightcancer.org/alaska for times and dates.

No experience is necessary. This event is free and open to teens between 14-18 years old.

Snacks will be available.
