Kansas City Lights of Hope celebration at Hope Lodge!
Lights of Hope is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network's signature fundraising event dedicated to honoring those who have been touched by cancer and remembering those we've lost. This year is the 13th anniversary of this event.
Each Light of Hope represents a loved one's cancer story—a survivor, someone in treatment, someone who passed from cancer, or someone who served as a caregiver. Our volunteers will host hundreds of displays nationwide, including the Hope Walk in Washington, DC, on September 19th.
On September 6th, 2023, ACS CAN Kansas and Missouri volunteers will be teaming up for our first ever Lights of Hope event at the Kansas City Hope Lodge. Each Light of Hope honors loved ones who have survived cancer and remembers those we've lost. During this event, we will allow attendees to tour our Kansas City Hope Lodge, have dinner with Hope Lodge residents, and view our display of local Lights of Hope tributes in the courtyard of the Hope Lodge. Below is the schedule for the event:
5:00pm - Hope Lodge Tours
6:00 - Dinner at Hope Lodge
7:00 - Lights of Hope ceremony in the Hope Lodge Courtyard
