2019 Day at the Capitol

Friday, January 11, 2019 - 9:00am to 4:00pm
Laramie County Library
2200 Pioneer Ave
Cheyenne, WY 82001

Together in 2019, we will proudly pass the buck in Wyoming.  That's right--we are asking our legislators to increase the tobacco tax by at least $1.00!  We will do it because tobacco use causes cancer and ACS CAN is committed to keeping kids from starting to smoke and helping adults quit.  Passing this tax increase will prevent 2,100 teens from ever starting the addiction and save 1,300 adult lives from all kinds of diseases including cancer.

You're invited to join us on Friday, January 11, 2019 for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Day at the Capitol in Cheyenne.  Your voice is criticially important to making sure our elected officials raise the tobacco tax by at least $1.00.

This year's Day at the Capitol will include an in-depth training session that will show you how to navigate Wyoming's legislative process and give you the tools needed to be an effective advocate for cancer issues.  No prior experience or training is needed.

RSVP today to attend the ACS CAN Day at the Capitol in Cheyenne on January 11, 2019.
