The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) commends Riverstone Health, which creates public health policy for Yellowstone County, for proposing a new rule to its existing smoke-free air law to prohibit the use of electronic cigarettes anywhere smoking is not allowed, and prohibit smoking including e-cigarette use within 30 feet of building entrances and windows.

Louisiana

The Baton Rouge Metro Council has introduced a comprehensive smoke-free ordinance that will make all businesses, including bars and casinos, smoke-free. The vote for the comprehensive smoke-free ordinance will take place on June 28th located at 222 St. Louis St. at the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court Building .

New Jersey

The New Jersey State Senate has passed a bill by a vote of 38-0. (S862/A3338) that would dedicate one percent of state tobacco tax revenues to fund tobacco prevention and cessation services as part of a statewide comprehensive Tobacco Control Program. The assembly had previously passed the bill unanimously.
