During Cancer Action Day, advocates called for Senate support on House Bill 1079, which aims to eliminate cost-sharing requirements for clinically appropriate genetic testing and guideline recommended cancer imaging for those with high-risk of developing cancer.

Earlier this week, the New Jersey State Assembly voted to advance a bill that seeks to create more stability for patients. The proposal (Assembly Bill 5217) would curb an unfair insurance practice that makes critical medication more expensive and access unpredictable.
