NEW YORK, NY – January 30, 2019 – American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) Managing Director for Government Relations Bill Sherman strongly advocated for Int 1345-2019 and Int 1362 at a New York City Council Health Committee Hearing today.
The public health community in New Mexico opposes a proposal by Sen. Clemente Sanchez to increase the state’s cigarette tax by 34 cents per pack because it will not significantly improve the health of New Mexicans.
