Patient Groups Anticipating MO Healthnet Expansion This Summer

Together, representing millions of patients living with serious or chronic conditions, our organizations look
forward to the voter-approved expansion of MO Healthnet in the coming months. This July, an estimated
275,000 low-income Missourians, many of whom are living with these conditions, will have an opportunity
to access life-changing and life-saving health insurance coverage through the state’s Medicaid program –
MO Healthnet.

As our country and state continue to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing the voter
approved Amendment 2 is more important than ever. The MO Healthnet coverage expansion will allow
eligible individuals to access primary care, prevention and early detection services, as well as the disease
management and comprehensive treatment services that our patients need. It will also help countless
Missourians who are newly uninsured having lost jobs or had their hours reduced due to the coronavirus
pandemic and economic downturn.

Our organizations look forward to working with the General Assembly to honor the voters' will and move
forward with a budget that funds the expansion of MO Healthnet.
