NYC Cancer Action Week
We are thrilled to share with you that ACS CAN is planning its first ever Cancer Action Week in New York City! The event will take place during the week of May 16-20 and we need you to help make it a success. During Cancer Action Week we will focus on our work fighting cancer at the city level, and volunteers like yourself will participate in meetings with members of the New York City Council, urging them to make the fight against cancer a top priority.
This exciting event is your chance to directly impact cancer policies right here in New York City. Advocates, survivors, patients, families, and caregivers will spend the week meeting with lawmakers and calling on our city government to get serious about fighting cancer and saving lives.
There is no cost to participate in Cancer Action Week, and no prior experience is needed. We will make the appointments and provide training and materials for attendees. You just need to show up and share your cancer story.
