Medicaid Document section:
Document 1: Medicaid Cuts & the Workforce
This document explains that Medicaid is health insurance for low-wage workers who aren't offered coverage through their job and can't afford private health insurance. The document lists out several ways Medicaid is a resource to workers as well as how Medicaid cuts will eliminate jobs and halt economic growth.
Document 2: The Real Cost of Cutting Medicaid
This document explains that rushing cuts to Medicaid will hurt those who can least aford care and won't do anything to lower health care costs.
Document 3: Medicaid work requirements jeopardize access to care for cancer patients and survivors
Each one-pager touches on work requirements, but this document exclusively explains how work requirements create unreasonable barriers to care making it harder for cancer patients and survivors to recover and stay health enough to work. 92% of workign age individuals with Medicaid coverage are either workers, caregivers, students or unable to work due to illness.
This one-pager details issues with work requirements, cost sharing and explains why we oppose reductions to retroactive coverage.
