American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) released a voter guide that details where the two major candidates running to be Minnesota’s next governor stand on three important policy issues that affect cancer prevention and treatment.

By an overwhelming bipartisan vote, Congress approved a major increase in funding for cancer and medical research. The FY19 federal budget includes an additional $2 billion for research at the National Institutes of Health. ACS CAN volunteers played a critical role in securing this funding increase. ACS CAN volunteer Marcia Earle was among 700 volunteers nationwide to participate in ACS CAN Leadership Summit and Lobby Day in Washington DC in September. Marcia visited the offices of members of congress to as for support for cancer related policuies and programs.
