Lights of Hope at the Des Moines Marathon

Marshall Chisare Ndhlovu brings extraordinary heart and purpose to his role as an ACS CAN Legislative Ambassador. After losing his father to multiple myeloma at just 50, Marshall has transformed his grief into powerful advocacy. An immigrant from Zimbabwe who came to the U.S. at 18 with only $10, he has built an inspiring life of resilience — becoming a U.S. citizen, graduating from Drake University, and conquering law school.

Lights of Hope on the Capitol steps in Madison

On October 15 th , dozens of cancer advocates gathered on the steps of the Wisconsin state capitol at the end of a powerful day of advocacy. 400 Lights of Hope were displayed, representing survivors, thrivers, caregivers, and those we’ve lost. ACS CAN volunteer leaders addressed the crowd and shared why they advocate and turn hope into action.
