Stephen JacksonStephen G. Jackson (Steve), M.P.H., is employed as a Grant Administrator for Douglas County, NE. He has a Mater of Public Health degree in Public Health Administration. Mr. Jackson has worked with the CDC in curriculum development, grant review, and numerous consultations regarding development and implementation of programs targeting HIV/AIDS prevention in Communities of Color. His work with the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) resulted in a multi-million dollar budget increase for the provision of medication and medical care for Persons Living With HIV/AIDS before his retirement from the State’s employment. He is also a certified facilitator through the Nebraska Health and Human Services System.  

Mr. Jackson has performed peer training and technical assistance for health department and vendor staff specific to fiscal monitoring, quality assurance and program implementation as a private consultant. Jackson also facilitates and coordinates trainings on the intersection of health department requirements and taxation, as a certified Tax Advisor fpr H&R Block. 

He is active in his church and community, volunteering for Citizen’s Advocacy Group, a core of individuals mentoring mentally challenged individuals to live a full and independent life, as well as Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Midlands. His work with ACS and ACS CAN includes Act Lead for Nebraska’s Congressional District 2 for five years, captain of several Making Strides teams in Lincoln, NE, and multiple years as a Real Men Wear Pink volunteer.
