Donna Greco Joins American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network to Lead Government Relations in Pennsylvania

Greco will spearhead ACS CAN’s policy campaigns aimed at limiting the impact of cancer on Pennsylvanians

March 20, 2023

HARRISBURG, PA – MARCH 20, 2023 – Donna Greco has joined the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) as the Government Relations Director in Pennsylvania. In this role, Greco will lead ACS CAN’s efforts in the state to advance legislation and public policies to reduce cancer.

“Cancer has touched all of our lives, and I’m excited to do my part to help advance legislation and policies that will save lives from this horrible disease,” Greco said. “There is a lot of work to be done in Harrisburg on behalf of the cancer community. I look forward to working with elected officials, volunteers, community partners and leaders and organizations across our state to secure such policies and help reduce suffering and death from cancer in Pennsylvania.”

Greco comes to ACS CAN from the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape where she led all lobbying efforts, shepherding the successful passage of over 20 bills. In advocating on behalf of sexual assault survivors, she found herself working at the intersection of traumas, including cancer and a lack of access to health care. Greco brings with her a distinct expertise in policy development and grassroots organizing.

ACS CAN is the nation’s leading cancer advocacy organization. To contact Donna Greco or get involved in ACS CAN’s legislative agenda in Pennsylvania, visit www.fightcancer.org/PA.
