FRANKFORT, KY – As lawmakers dive into the new year, the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) asks legislators to restore tobacco control funding that will ease the burden of cancer in Kentucky.
A new survey released today from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) finds overall tobacco use among middle and high school students has declined from 2019-2020. However, cigarette use did not decline.
To mark the Great American Smokeout, ACS CAN is asking Governor Wolf and the state legislature to include funding in the new budget for tobacco control programs.
