Jessica Carter Summers
Jessica Carter knows the importance of screening, access to treatment, and cancer research funding all too well. Jessica is a triple-negative breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed last year at age 43.
Why is being an ACS CAN volunteer important to them?
More than 2 million Americans, including more than 13,000 West Virginians, are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in 2025. It is time for Congress to defend and strengthen our country’s commitment to cancer research and prevention.
Why should others in your community get involved in ACS CAN?
Everyone has a story and voice that needs to be heard, and there are power in numbers! The more advocates we recruit and train, the more impact we can have on changing public policy for the better.
