Who is producing this documentary?
The film is being produced by award-winning film director Ky Dickens in partnership with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), the nation's leading cancer advocacy organization that is working every day to make cancer issues a national priority and ensure that all working families have access to affordable health insurance when they need it most.

I filled out the form. What happens now?
If you are selected to participate in the project, we will reach out to you to schedule a brief phone call to learn more about you and your experience living without health insurance.

What’s involved in participating?
To tell your story fully, our hope would be to spend time with you and important members of your life, such as your family, friends, community members, and health care providers (if you see them), so that we can get the full picture of your life.

If selected to participate in the project, we would hold a few additional conversations with you, the project team, and director for planning purposes. We would coordinate with you to schedule times to come film you in your daily life – at your home, office, community centers you frequent (such as church), and so on. We would likely come film you at two different times throughout the year.

Where will this documentary be shown?
The documentary will be screened nationally, made available on a streaming service, screened at film festivals, and shared online and at community events.
