Everyone is just One Degree away from being impacted by cancer.
Survivors, researchers, students, and advocates joined together on the campus of Clemson University on March 24th to share thier One Degree story with Senator Graham.
It was a powerful event as we heard from cancer surivors Brittany Avin, Dr. Rachel Mayo, and Dr. Jim Weeks. They all asked Senator Graham to support the increase in cancer reserach funding!
Dr. Brian Booth, Clemson researcher, shared with a sense of urgency the need for funding. He commented that he spends nearly 90% of his time looking for funding for his research.

After months of delay and hard negotiations, Congress has finally passed a funding bill! The bill includes a small increase for cancer research and prevention programs.
