FY17 Budget Update

Tobacco Cessation and Prevention Funding: In a very difficult budget period, with revenues coming in as much as $1 billion below projections, ACS CAN successfully protected level-funding for the states’ tobacco cessation and prevention program. 

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening: We were also successful in protecting funding for the Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection and Treatment programs.

Prostate Cancer Education, Awareness and Research: Lastly, we successfully secured level funding for a prostate cancer education, awareness and research program within the Department of Public Health.
