Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City has taken a stand against flavored tobacco products by passing a resolution on Wednesday that calls for an end to their sale.
A recent editorial in the Fargo Forum draws attention to Measure 4 and the Raise It For Health North Dakota coalition. The Forum calls on North Dakotans to recognize the burdens tobacco places on people and our healthcare system and to do something about it.
Voting Yes on Measure 4 will increase North Dakota's tobacco tax from $0.44 per pack of cigarettes to $2.20 and would also increase the tax on other tobacco products - including liquid nicotene used in electronic cigarettes - from 28% to 56% of wholesale purchase price.
