Lights of HOPE

Lights of Hope

Lights of Hope is the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network’s signature fundraising event dedicated to honoring those who have been touched by cancer and remembering those we’ve lost. This year is the 12th anniversary of this event.

Lights of Hope

Each Light of Hope represents a loved one’s cancer story—a survivor, someone in treatment, someone who passed from cancer, or someone who served as a caregiver. Our volunteers will host hundreds of displays across the country including the Hope Walk in Washington, DC on September 13th.

This year we are growing even larger with our virtual Lights of Hope bag opportunity. We want you to be part of this special event. By donating today you will join thousands of people honoring loved ones.  Amplify your donation by:

  • Downloading and sharing your bag on social media. Tag ACS CAN (@ACSCAN) and use the hashtag #LightsOfHope in your post.

  • Letting loved ones know of your tribute by sending an e-card after the donation is made.

  • Printing a picture of your bag to display and let others know you are taking part in Lights of Hope.

  • Tagging your lawmakers on social media and help us send a visible reminder to Congress that they need to do more to help fight this disease.

Last year, there were more than  55,000 Lights of Hope dedicated – we hope to surpass that mark this year and we want you and your loved ones to be part of Lights of Hope. Dedicate a Lights of Hope today.

Funds raised through Lights of Hope enable ACS CAN to continue its mission to make fighting cancer a national priority. We encourage you to dedicate a Light of Hope to someone you know who has been impacted by cancer.
