MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

2020 ACS CAN Day at the Capitol, Now Virtual Day at the Capitol

State Capitol, Hawaii

In an abundance of caution and the interest of protecting the health of our volunteers, ACS CAN has made the difficult decision to CANCEL the in-person Hawaii Cancer Awareness Day at the Capitol on March 17th.  While we won’t be able to be in person this week, we will plan a virtual “day of action” on Tuesday, March 17th.

We are so grateful for the willingness and dedication of our advocates to making cancer a priority for lawmakers and we are committed to finding alternate ways to share your stories and continue to create impact at the Capitol this legislative session. For those interested, we will hold a virtual “day of action” training call.  Please plan to attend the scheduled call or listen to the recording to learn how to make next Tuesday an impactful day to advance our cancer-fighting agenda, while keeping everyone safe.

Thank you again for all you do for ACS CAN and to advance the fight.

Please feel free to join a call to hear about our virtual day of action (a recording will also be made available if you missed dialing in):

Thursday, March 12th, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm; Call: 1-917-727-7985; code: ID: 419 816 428#

Due to the unpredictability and dynamic nature of COVID-19, also known as the “coronavirus,” and the elevated risk for those with compromised immune systems, we feel that this is the most appropriate course of action for us to take at this time. We apologize for the short notice and appreciate your understanding as we work to minimize the health risk for volunteers and staff.
