Please join us for the 6th Annual Rhode Island Research Breakfast!

Registration will be from 7:30 am - 8 am and the program will be held from 8 am - 9:30 am.

This year's event will discuss the ground breaking strides seen in cancer treatment and care in Rhode Island, featuring a panel of experts that will highlight the impacts of innovation in the health care sector.

This year's event will be emceed by Vic Vetters, General Manager of WJAR.

Speakers at the event will include:

Lisa Lacasse, President, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network

Bethany Engstrom, Legislative Ambassador, American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network

This year's panel will be moderated by Shalini Vallabhan, PhD, Managing Director of Government Relations for ACS CAN and will feature:

Wafik El-Deiry, MD, PhD, FACP, the Associate Dean for Oncologic Sciences at the Warren Alpert Medical School and the Director of the Joint Program in Cancer BIology at Brown University and affiliated hospitals.

Deyu Li, PhD, an Assistant Professor and Paramaz Avedisian Endowed Chair in Medicinal Organic Chemistry at the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy.

Abdul Saied Calvino, MD, a surgical oncologist at the Roger Williams Cancer Center

Michelle Rose Dawson, PhD an Assistant Professor of Molecular Pharmacology, Physiology and Biotechnology at Brown University.
