Join cancer survivors, caregivers, advocates, and public health partners from across Delaware for Cancer Action Day 2025. Together, we will urge lawmakers to expand access to biomarker testing, so more patients can access the personalized, life-saving treatments they need. No advocacy experience is needed — just your commitment. We’ll provide training, resources, and support.

What You Need to Know

Legislative Visits: We will schedule appointments with your representatives based on the address you provided during registration. In Delaware, one of the most effective ways to engage with legislators is through informal conversations in the hallway. We will provide training on how to approach lawmakers and communicate our legislative priorities during the morning session. Please be prepared for a dynamic day with potential last-minute changes. If your lawmaker is unavailable, you will leave informational materials at their office.

Food and Refreshments:

  • Coffee and pastries will be served during morning check-in and training at the library.
  • Lunch will be provided at the Legislative Hall cafeteria. Attendees are welcome to grab lunch between meetings or eat after our meetings have wrapped.

Attire: Business casual attire, please wear blue on top. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as we will be walking around the Legislative Hall.

What to Bring:

  • A government-issued photo ID (required for Legislative Hall entry)
  • A water bottle and any personal essentials

Parking Information:

  • Library: Free parking available onsite
  • Legislative Hall: Parking is available at the Delaware Public Archives

Security:
Guests must enter the Legislative Hall through the West Side entrance, which faces the Legislative Mall. Government-issued photo ID is required. All attendees must go through a security checkpoint.
