All work and no play isn’t good for anyone when there is so much to do during Leadership Summit & Lobby Day!

Check out other ways to engage with your fellow participants:

Lights of Hope Across America: ACS CAN’s annual Lights of Hope ceremony usually centers around a display of tens of thousands of lights honoring & remembering our loved ones in front of the Lincoln Memorial. In 2020, we’re Bringing Hope Home by asking our friends to coordinate illuminating their Lights of Hope in spaces personal to them on Saturday, September 12.

2020 CAN Opener: ACS CAN’s annual fundraising dinner won’t be the same in 2020…but join us anyway! Tickets for the Tuesday, September 15 event are available for purchase at fightcancer.org/canopener or can be earned by collecting more than $200 in Lights of Hope donations on your  personal CANRaiser page.

Live now! 2020 Silent Auction: After a long hiatus, the ACS CAN Silent Auction is back! Click the link to peruse all of the fabulous offerings compiled by our staff and volunteers before it closes on Tuesday, September 15! Every dollar raised benefits ACS CAN: bid it up!

Cancer Story Corps The ACS CAN Cancer Story Corps is a new initiative to archive the stories, experiences and passion of our volunteers. Register your cancer story on our simple form and we might follow-up to schedule a one-on-one video interview with one of our staff! Together we will build our collection of individual and unique stories to help our education, outreach and advocacy efforts.

Submit your photos! We capture hundreds of photos of our advocates in action each year in Washington, DC. With this year’s virtual event, we still want to document and share the impressive training, strategizing and advocating you’re doing on behalf of cancer patients! Please use this guide for taking and submit photos throughout this year’s LS&LD!

Amplify our work! Remember when talking about @acscan to use the hashtags #CancerLobbyDay and #LightsOfHope to celebrate these important events! We’re looking forward to seeing many photos and selfies of ACS CAN volunteers from their own homes across the country! We encourage wearing the ACS CAN logo and/or wearing the colors red and blue. Please avoid wearing logos tied to programs like Cancer Votes, Relay For Life, Making Strides, etc. to avoid conflicts with our status as a 501(c)4, nonpartisan organization.
