The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) has issued a final exam to New Jersey state lawmakers and is calling on them to answer five questions before adjourning for summer and standing for election in November.

New Jersey Casinos have been smoke-free due to the pandemic. Lawmakers are considering legislation that would bring smoking back to casinos. These organizations are asking to put the health of all New Jerseyans first.

A coalition of leading public health groups delivered a letter to Governor Murphy calling on him to keep in place the emergency prohibition on smoking indoors in casinos and work with the Legislature to pass A4541/S1878 and make them permanently smoke-free. Prohibiting smoking in casinos is both good for business and good for public health.
