INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Allie Kast was recently promoted to government relations director for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). In this role, Kast will lead ACS CAN’s efforts in the state to advance legislation and public policies to reduce cancer.

“Cancer has touched all of our lives, and I’m excited to do my part to help advance legislation and policies that will save lives from this horrible disease,” Kast said. “Cancer has touched my life in so many personal ways; from four family members and a family friend being lost to cancer within a year, to family members currently on their cancer journey, so I look forward to working with elected officials, volunteers, community partners and leaders and organizations across our state to help reduce suffering and death from cancer in Indiana.”

Kast most recently was the grassroots manager for ACS CAN; before that, she worked at Hannah News Service Indiana. Kast is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis.
