Increasing State Tobacco Tax

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network is advocating for our legislators to address the problem of tobacco use in several specific ways, including raising the state tobacco tax. The tax is currently 30 cents per pack of cigarettes. Increasing the state tobacco tax is a proven way to reduce smoking rates, especially for kids.
