Virginia Volunteer Advocacy Workshop Series

We’re excited to announce a new volunteer advocacy workshop series designed specifically for Virginia advocates who want to deepen their understanding of state advocacy and learn how to engage lawmakers most effectively.

To make the series as accessible as possible, we’ll meet virtually for one hour each week over four weeks, for a total of four sessions. Workshops will take place on Thursdays, October 1, 8, 15, and 22.

Building on your existing advocacy experience, this interactive series will strengthen your skills and expand your advocacy toolkit. With cameras on and active participation encouraged, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the legislative process, learn how to build effective relationships with lawmakers, and explore strategies to maximize the impact of your voice.

Volunteers who complete the full series will receive a certificate of completion and be recognized as advocacy resources during Cancer Action Day.
