Shanise Pearce is a Triple Negative Breast Cancer survivor and dedicated advocate working to close the gap in cancer outcomes for underrepresented communities. After genetic testing revealed BRCA2 and PMS2 gene mutations associated with Lynch syndrome, she pursued vigilant early detection, which led to the discovery of her cancer in 2023 and ultimately saved her life. Following chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and reconstruction, Shanise committed her voice and leadership to advancing genetic testing awareness, early screening access, and equitable care for those at highest risk.
As Founder and CEO of The Advocate’s Table, she transforms lived experience into community education, policy engagement, and bold advocacy. She has testified in support of state legislation expanding breast cancer awareness and screening access. Her mission is clear and urgent: ensure that no one is left behind in the fight against cancer.
