John at podiumThank you to John J. Manna, Jr. for all of your incredible support to ACS and ACS CAN.

We are happy to share that our fellow New York State ACS CAN volunteer John Manna will be honored as a 2026 Honoree at the New York City Hope Lodge Bash Gala on Thursday, April 23 at Gotham Hall. This recognition is well deserved for his many years of leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to Hope Lodge NYC.

The Hope Lodge Bash is the American Cancer Society’s premier fundraising event in New York City, bringing together more than 275 business leaders, philanthropists, and ACS supporters. Funds raised support the annual operating costs of the Hope Lodge Jerome L. Greene Family Center, which provides free lodging for cancer patients and caregivers traveling to New York City for treatment.

John’s impact on the organization is remarkable and far-reaching. Beyond his 12+ years on the National ACS CAN Board, he is an enthusiastic Relay For Life participant, a member and Past Chair of the NYC Area Board, and a passionate advocate for Hope Lodge NYC. He played a key role in the capital campaign that established Hope Lodge in New York City in 2007 and even endowed a resident room in honor of his parents.

Since opening, Hope Lodge NYC has served more than 33,000 patients and caregivers, saving families over $115 million in lodging expenses, which is a testament to the power of community support and champions like John.

We are incredibly proud of John and grateful for all he has done to advance our mission. Please feel no obligation but if you are interested in supporting John’s Hope Lodge fundraising efforts, you can do so here. Thank you all!
