Cristianne Scherrer - AZ Grassroots Manager

Cristianne Scherrer is a passionate advocate who works to uplift her community and advance social change. She earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Business (Law) from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Her mission is to make a positive difference in this world by helping serve underrepresented communities toward a brighter future through investing in education, local sustainability efforts, healthcare equity, maintaining the arts/music, cultural preservation and advancing the fight for equality, justice & liberation of all people.

Prior to joining American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), she served as a Federal Community Organizer with Lyft under La Machine Consulting, LLC where she worked on both federal/state legislation and constituent outreach to elevate the voices of those who are most directly impacted by relevant legislation. She has experience in planning and implementing events/opportunities connecting legislators with their constituents and recruiting voters to get more involved civically in calls to action.

Currently, as the Arizona Grassroots Manger for ACS CAN, Cristianne serves as the liaison between passionate volunteers and ACS CAN staff, empowering these communities to raise their voice on issues that affect the cancer community. Her presence is important to our team as she manages and trains volunteers with the ultimate goal of advancing evidence-based public policies that reduce the cancer burden for everyone.

Jennifer "Jen" Vance - State Lead Ambassador

I am an ACS CAN volunteer advocate in memory of my father and the strength and bravery of his 13-year battle with prostate cancer. Through advocacy, I believe I can truly make a difference in the lives of those who have been touched by cancer. Taking action to help make real change to increase access to care, improve health equity and support cancer research is my personal mission so that all people who hear the words, “You have cancer”, have hope.

Amy Graham - Vice State Lead Ambassador

I advocate with ACS CAN because I’ve seen how important it is to have our voices heard. Me and my family have been touched by cancer many times. I’ve also lost several family and friends to this horrible disease. I understand just how powerful we can be when we come together and leverage our voices! As long as I am able, I will continue to rise up and speak for those that are no longer able and for our future generations!
