Ken Wilkerson Joins ACS CAN as Senior Government Relations Director for California

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Ken Wilkerson, a seasoned government affairs professional with more than a decade of experience in health care advocacy and state policy, has joined the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) as senior government relations director for California.

In this role, Wilkerson will lead ACS CAN’s state advocacy efforts to protect access to care and advance patient-centered policies that reduce the cancer burden for Californians.

“Ken brings strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of California’s health care landscape to our team,” said Jen Grand-Lejano, managing director for the Pacific region for ACS CAN. “His experience will be instrumental as we work to ensure lawmakers prioritize cancer-fighting policies that improve prevention, early detection and access to lifesaving care.”

Before joining ACS CAN, Wilkerson led governmental affairs at North East Medical Services, a federally qualified health center in the Bay Area, and previously held leadership roles at the California Department of Health Care Services.
