Colorado moves Day at the Capitol to virtual Day of Action

March 8, 2020

In an abundance of caution and the interest of protecting the health of our volunteers, ACS CAN has made the difficult decision to CANCEL the in-person Colorado Day at the Capitol this Thursday, March 12th.  While we won’t be able to be in person this week, we will plan a virtual “day of action” on Thursday, March 12th.

Due to the unpredictability and dynamic nature of COVID-19, also known as the “coronavirus,” and the elevated risk for those with compromised immune systems, we feel that this is the most appropriate course of action for us to take at this time. We apologize for the short notice and appreciate your understanding as we work to minimize the health risk for volunteers and staff.

We are so grateful for the willingness and dedication of our advocates to making cancer a priority for lawmakers and we are committed to finding alternate ways to share your stories and continue to create impact at the Capitol this legislative session. For those interested, we will hold virtual “day of action” training calls.  Please fell free to attend one of the scheduled calls below to learn how to make Thursday an impactful day to advance our cancer-fighting agenda, while keeping everyone safe.

Thank you again for all you do for ACS CAN and to advance the fight.

Please feel free to join either of the calls to hear about our virtual day of action:

Monday, March 9th, 7pm-8pm; Call: 917-727-7985; code: 885 131 721#

Tuesday, March 10th, 7pm-8pm; Call: 917-727-7985; code: 753 272 525#
