ACS CAN Comments to CMS re: Medicaid Community Engagement Requirements

ACS CAN submitted comments on CMS' interim final rule implementing community engagement requirements in Medicaid. We expressed serious concerns about how the agency is implementing the medically frail exemption and verification processes, and urged them to change these policies in the final rule.

Survey: Majority of Cancer Patients Would Not Have Been Able to Meet Work Requirements

Our latest Survivor Views survey finds that 90% of cancer patients and survivors had to miss hours of work, school or volunteering due to their cancer care and treatment. While 80% say this occurred during active treatment, 32% continued to experience disruptions into survivorship. The time missed was significant; 42% of these individuals had to miss 13 or more weeks and 68% report the time missed was inconsistent throughout their experience.
