Since he took office, President Obama has expressed a strong commitment to cancer patients and their families. Early in his presidency, the president said we would double cancer research funding in the next eight years. In his first State of the Union address, he committed to launching a new effort to conquer a disease that has touched the life of nearly every American by seeking a cure for cancer in our time." Now is the time to make sure the President hears our need for increased funding for cancer research.
