Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City has taken a stand against flavored tobacco products by passing a resolution on Wednesday that calls for an end to their sale.
Today, Wednesday April 1, the Federal tobacco tax will increase $.62 bringing the total Federal tax to just over a dollar. The revenue raised from this tax icrease will fund the State Children's Health Insurance Plan or S-CHIP.
The Bill was supported by the American Cancer Society and pushed forward with the help of ACS CAN members across the country.
