Oregon City Supports Statewide Ban on Flavored Tobacco Products
OREGON CITY, OR — Oregon City has taken a stand against flavored tobacco products by passing a resolution on Wednesday that calls for an end to their sale.
The Connecticut legislature approved the state budget last week, which the governor allowed to go into effect over the weekend without her signature. The budget included a $1.00 increase in the cigarette tax which will go into effect on October 1, 2009, giving Connecticut the second highest cigarette tax rate in the country at $3.00 per pack.
